Ray Eames’s response to the question “Mrs. Eames, how did it feel to give up your painting?” was “I never gave up painting, I just changed my palette.” The images in this booklet were featured in an exhibition at the Eames Office gallery. They include Ray’s early works beginning with a self-portrait, 1928, and concluding with several works from the early 1940s.
